We buy small businesses
A private holding company. We acquire established businesses and accelerate growth.
About
Owned and operated by one person.
That person is Jonathan Cho. He takes the first call, signs at close, and runs the business afterward.
We buy to hold. There is no fund behind the company and no date by which anything has to be sold.
Approach
What we buy, and what happens after.
-
01
Small internet businesses and apps
Bought for cash, usually $5k to $30k, with a short diligence list and a plain purchase agreement.
-
02
Owner-run companies
Businesses with a team in place and an owner ready to step back, financed with an SBA loan and a seller note. The owner stays on for a transition period.
-
03
After close
Customers, staff and the name stay. We focus on the handful of things that bring in more customers and keep the existing ones, and leave the rest alone.
Founder
Jonathan Cho
Jon spent twelve years as a growth product manager at Acorns, Spotify, Drop, Audible, Zocdoc and Boxed. The work was the same in each role: find out why people sign up and why they stay, then fix the places where they leave. Eleventh Crucible is where he applies that to companies he owns.
He studied marketing at Rutgers Business School and lives in New York.

Thinking about selling?
Two or three lines on what the business is, what it makes a month and why you're selling is enough to start. Jon reads and answers every note himself.
